When I try to play Stairway to Heaven's solo i can't always quite pick every note and then i have to resort to hammer- ons and it just doesnt seem as good, got n e tips?

Every year a group of people and I go to different towns in Mexico to build small houses for groups of needy families. BUt then when I got to track for and heard the sweet Stairway to Heaven I was just Flabber Fricken Gasted. it was the best song id ever heard. I went out and bought the Led Zeppelin 4 cd box set and it was the wickedest awsomest coolest music ever. songs like Kashmir , Over the Hills and Far Far Away, Dazed and Confused, Whole Lotta Love, White Summer / Black Mountain Side Aan the List goes on. but anyways you are the best and most amazing guitarist who ever lived and your skills and ITS AWSOME MAN. THE COOLEST. My Stepdad gave me Hammer of the Gods for christmas ad im Currently reading it and I want to be just like you man. Awsome. hi jimmy, (...celebrity may read posts) well this post is like a bottle in the ocean then ... to receive a feedback would be no less than a memorable event. I am a long time fan of led zeppelin and especially you. i will start with the very first lp of led zep which i declare a masterpiece (the test of time being the last proof of a very long list). When i heard this lp for the first time at 17 (1969) I really felt I was witnessing something... something that went beyond rock music, I could not understand exactly what was going on , except than besides my excitement to every song, there was a silence in me, because I knew an important 'page' of the history of music had been written To recap, this lp is an undisputed member of the all time top three (with sergeant's pepper and ... well there are about 2-3 contender for the last spot.

The song 'tea for one' on the Presence album is pure artistry. 'whisper a prayer for the dying' on your Coverdale album has a structure only you can create. I saw led zeppelin in Montreal in 1969, was I ever impressed... I remember after the show all the happy people walking in the streets long past midnight after this great 'rappel' of 3/4 hour at the end of the show. I am desperatly trying to find a small demo of you and I guess the yardbirds, there are the words 'rude solo' in the title there are 1 or 2 girls singing. I did download it and lost it and it seems it's no more on the web. The guitar riff is very special , if by god you ever read my post and by all gods ever answer to me could you (yes Jimmy Page himself) tell me where I can find this unique piece. I've always wondered what Jimmy's symbol. first seen on the untitled album of Led Zeppelin meant. I've heard things like it symbolizes near-death or Tantric sex experience to unify the worlds of the living and the dead. On http://www.inthelight.co.nz/ledzep/zososymbol.htm the web master tried to define it first as the 'Z' meaning the symbol for capricorn. He then went on saying for a while he thought it was the symbol for cancer with some added 'artistic imagination'. He then said that it may represent the first Hebrew alphabetic letter Aleph but turned 45 degrees to look like the 'o-S-o'. It is supposed to symbolize cultural power, creative energy, life-power, the energy recieved from the sun. He then says it is the life breath or Prana (chi) energy. Recently someone sent him information in Crowley's book "The Equinox"

So is O. O = A in the Book of Toth (The Tarot) A = III with all its great meaning, O = 6 (in the picture the 'O' had a dot in the middle but im not sure it had any meaning) Now 666 = My name. = The number of the stélé. = The number of the beast. (See Apocalypse.) = The number of the O (this O also has a small dot in the middle)

So the two "O's" with dots in them are 6's, and the "S" also stands for 6, as well as sol, the sun. So the Zoso symbol is actually 666.

The bottom of the symbol that goes under the 'o-S-o' is desribed as a Zain, the hebrew letter equivelent to 'Z' meaning sword. This is also associated with the Hermit (a sign of considerably to Jimmy and is also appears on the Led Zeppelin IV cover as well as the movie "The Song Remains the Same" ). Anyway, The Hebrew character associated with The Hermit is the yod, but he says doesnt seem relevent. anything, the Teth is the closest (as with the other symbols, somewhat stylised). The Teth means serpent, and represents the strength of the hidden Kundalini power associated with Tantra, a subject in which young Jimmy had a keen interest! The Kundalini is derived from the cosmic Prana force (Aleph), but lies sleeping at the base of the spine before it is awakened and arises to join the "sun" - it therefore is shown below the Aleph symbol above..

So thats pretty much the entire page that has to do with the symbol. I've read a lot about the other 3 symbols and all the things I have read are relating to the same basic meaning of the symbol but worded differently. I don't really have a reason to be told the real meaning of the "Zoso" symbol and I have also read that it has been kept secret and the only other person to know it is Robert Plant and over time is has been forgotten. But if for some reason you have decided to reveal its meaning and I just don't know about it, I would really like to know. I'm not a die hard Zeppelin fan and I'm only 15 but I am a huge fan but I probably don't know as much as others but this has been one of things that has made me think.

Recently (over the course of the past year and a half) I bought a double neck SG and a sunburst Les Paul...however, they are Epiphone models ...which are much more generous on my budget! :) Two Zeppelin songs I recently figired out how to play was "Darlene" and "Wearing and Tearing" Those songs are so fun to play! And if I may point out one more thing, I'd like to mention a solo release of yours called Coverdal/Page. What an incredible album that was!!! It sounds so big...like a huge wall of sound!! It was brilliantly mixed and produced and well written!! Thanks for that little gem!! That album by far is one of my top ten favorites. I'm 16 and I've spent the last 9 years playing the drums, trying to copy his style and let me tell you it aint easy. Why didn't you two worked again, musical/personal differences? And about JPJ, what did you think of his album, Zooma? Any chance of you two writing again soon? Jimmy, I just wanted to let you know that I never would have picked up a guitar if it wasn't for you and the rest of the guys. Led Zeppelin opened many doors to creativity in my life. Jimmy, dude, I can emphasize enough how much I detest led zepplin. I work at a place that plays so called classic rock and the station plays the same songs over and over every single damn day. And on the top of there list is zepplin and the doors. Now having to listen to the whining bastard in zepplin really gets irritating. The music sucks. You and the other are stupid for thinking of making suck a stupid band.
